Material Listing Policy

This policy sets the expected quality and responsibility standards for material, waste, by-product and service listings.

Important notice

Template requiring legal review

This policy is supplied as editable website starter content. It must be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel before the website or platform launches, including company identity, jurisdiction, processing activities, retention periods and regulatory obligations.

1. Accurate descriptions

Listings must use accurate titles, categories, quantities, locations, availability, source processes and physical condition. Known contamination, mixing, damage or quality limitations must be disclosed.

2. Authority to list

The organization must own the material or have clear authorization to offer, transfer, process or request it.

3. Supporting evidence

Users should provide current photographs and all documentation reasonably required to evaluate the material, including technical, safety, classification, composition or laboratory information where applicable.

4. Restricted materials

Hazardous, medical, radioactive, explosive, illegal, stolen, sanctioned or otherwise restricted materials must not be listed unless a specifically approved workflow and qualified participants are available.

5. AI-assisted content

AI-generated descriptions or composition estimates must be reviewed by the listing organization. Estimates must not be presented as verified analysis.

6. Pricing and availability

Prices, quotation requests, minimum quantities, collection terms and recurring supply claims must be current and commercially genuine.

7. Confidential listings

Confidentiality settings should be used for sensitive production, formulation, location or supplier information. Users remain responsible for contractual confidentiality where needed.

8. Updates and removal

Listings must be updated or removed when the material is unavailable, materially different or no longer authorized for exchange.

9. Review and enforcement

ParaWaste may request evidence, limit visibility, reject, suspend or remove listings that create legal, safety, trust or marketplace-quality concerns.
